Chain Link Fencing

Honest, tough and affordable. Chain link keeps dogs in, trouble out and budgets intact - and modern color-coated versions even look sharp doing it.

Chain link options

  • Galvanized - the classic, brightest on budget
  • Black or green vinyl-coated - disappears into landscaping surprisingly well
  • Heights from 3 to 12 feet
  • Privacy slats for screening
  • Walk and drive gates, latches and drop rods that work in gloves
  • Tension wire or bottom rail for dig-prone dogs

Built tight, not just strung

Good chain link is about tension and posts: terminal posts set in concrete, line posts at proper spacing, and fabric stretched drum-tight so it doesn't bag or rattle. We build to commercial standards on residential jobs - it costs pennies more and it's the difference between a fence and a suggestion.

For dogs, we'll talk honestly about height, bottom security and gate latches before quoting - the fence should match the animal.

Common questions

Is chain link ugly?

Bright galvanized in front of a garden - maybe. Black coated against trees - it practically vanishes. Come see photos and judge.

Can it keep a determined dog in?

With the right height, a secured bottom and self-closing gates - yes. Tell us about the escape artist and we'll spec for them.

How long does chain link last?

Decades. Galvanized and coated fabric both outlive most wood fences with zero maintenance.
